This world-leading ensemble gives the festival’s opening performance with the epic work from which it takes its title. From the Canyons to the Stars links the canyons of Utah with the ancient light of the stars. Intended for the bicentennial of the US in 1976, this work provides glimpses back into time and history, flecked with almost unimaginable colour combinations and the sound of exotic bird calls.
